Turkish thespian Jülide Kural has received a suspended 15-month sentence for standing in for a day as editor-in-chief of a pro-Kurdish daily as a part of a solidarity campaign launched against the investigations into the newspaper.
Kural was accused of having made propaganda on behalf of a terrorist organization.
The Özgür Gündem daily was accused of promoting the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).
