Federal prosecutors demanded a life sentence for Beate Zschäpe, a member of the right-wing neo-Nazi extremist group National Socialist Underground (NSU), accusing her of complicity in all crimes committed by the NSU including the murder of eight Turks, Deutsche Welle reported on Tuesday.
According to the report, Zschäpe was claimed by a prosecutor to be complicit in the murder of eight Turks, one Greek and one German policewoman, two bombings and 15 robberies committed by the NSU from 2000 until 2007.
While Zschäpe denied the accusations, the prosecutor said Zschäpe was spreading fear in Germany by targeting and murdering immigrants.
The trial began four years ago. Four other NSU members face charges of aiding and abetting the NSU murders. (turkishminute.com)
