Atılgan Kömür (29), who early Monday morning killed five of his relatives in the Central Anatolian province of Konya, has said they deserved to die.
According to the Evrensel daily, he accused his family members, ranging in age from 51 to 80, of being American spies.
Kömür, who was detained by gendarmes, was quoted as saying: “I just went to shoot them. They are American spies.”
Kömür was later taken to a hospital in Cihanbeyli for a medical examination. He was heard shouting, “To hell with them.” Upon being asked why he had done it, he replied, “They deserved it.” (turkishminute.com) June 22, 2017
