AKP deputy says PACE rejected suggestion for exhibit on Turkey’s failed coup

Turkey’s ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) Adana deputy and head of the Turkish delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Talip Küçükcan said on Friday that PACE rejected his suggestion for a photo exhibition on the anniversary of a controversial coup attempt in Turkey on July 15, 2016, citing a lack of space.

In a written statement to the state-run Anadolu news agency on Friday, Küçükcan criticized PACE for not providing the space to hold the photo exhibit.

According to the statement, Küçükcan applied to the PACE administration to hold a photo exhibition from Oct. 9-13 on the failed coup in Turkey during the PACE general assembly meetings.

However, the PACE administration rejected Küçükcan’s request due to a “lack of space,” he claimed. (turkishminute.com)
